Trouble with OneNote and Windows Mail

I've recently started using OneNote that came with my Office suite. I
think I'm really liking it and getting the hang of it. However, I've
run into a problem!

When I bought my computer (a few weeks ago), it came with Windows Mail
pre-loaded. It says that "Windows Mail is the successor to Outlook
Express". Since I've never looked Outlook, I don't know the
difference.

Well-- OneNote says I can use it with Outlook to send notes and
exchange calendar events, tasks, etc. My question is: If Windows
Mail is what Outlook used to be, why can't I use it with OneNote? Or
am I just missing something? I've tried poking around Windows Mail
and can't find any way to use it with OneNote!

Arghhh! Please help!

Outlook and Outlook Express are two completely different programs. One came
with Windows and offered basic email and address book functionality; the
other is part of Office and far more powerful. I suspect one of the reasons
they renamed it to Windows Mail in the the latest version of Windows was to
avoid the confusion that's always caused by the two programs having similar
names.
