Defragged my HD a few days ago. No problems with system function. Updated
Norton Anti-virus yesterday and today the system runs like a slug.
Disengaged Norton's active Microsoft Office feature. Restarted. Got
Win32sl.exe error. researched error on Microsoft.com and discovered it's
related to DMI and Win98. The DMI makes sense if Norton was utilizing it.
Win 98 doesn't because I'm running Win 2000 Professional.
Haven't restarted again but my system seems to be running perfectly now.

Anyone know why this might have occured? Is it OS related or Norton DMI
related?

I've had 3 Win98 machines today start dogging when opening up Office
applications. All running Office 2000 and Norton 2003. Seems to be more
Norton related than OS.

I am having the same problem with Word 2000 and Norton
2003 on Win2000 Professional today as well. Things were
fine yesterday.
