Trouble with making a 3D reference absolute

Sherry

Cell A1 in Worksheet2 is linked to Cell A2 in Worksheet
1. This value will be a constant, but I need to fill the
series in Worksheet 2 all the way down.

Linking is not a problem. EX: In Worksheet 2 Cell A1 I
type the following =Worksheet1!A2.)Once linked, I need to
be able to fill down in Worksheet 2 to Row 30, remaining
constant. I selected the cell reference part of the
formula and did F4 to make it absolute. When I do that,
however, then the value in Cell A1 appears as the text
=Worksheet1!A2, rather than the value. If I do not make
this an absolute, the actual value appears. If I am
going to fill this down as a constant, I need to be able
to make the cell reference absolute. Any ideas what's
going on here?

Can you show some typical values that you use. I would like to see a list
with all functions and cell values. If you want, you can mail your sheet to
me and I will have a look at it. I use Excel 2003.
