When trying to set the default save location on the file locations tab, I
navigate to a personal folder, inside a home folder on a network drive, and
save, and then close, it reverts back to the home folder, which is the root
folder of the personal folder - any idea why it wll not stick?

Which version of Word is this?

Have you asked your IT department whether you have permissions to change this
setting? It's possible that they've locked this down for your (everyone's)
network profile.

I have found out how to use the Microsfot button in Word 2007, but when I try
to set the default location for Word folder inside the Documents folder, I
get an error message "The server drafts location you entered for offline
editing is not valid or you do not have permission to access that location.
Specify a location on your local computer" But when I try to specify the
Word folder on the computer in the User/Documents/Word folder it give me
another error message. Is this a Word probelm or a Vista Administrator
probelm. I am signed in as the Administrator
