Trouble saving

When I try to save my workbook I get an error
statement, "'GWXL97.xla' could not be found. Check
spelling of the file name, and verify that the file
location is correct." This happens when I try to save by
quick save and also when using pull down menus -
both "save as" and "save". I have reinstalled excel and
still receive the same message. How can this be corrected?

I am having the same issue. This is on Office XP. Word
and Excel are doing the same thing.

Any luck finding any answers?
