trouble running antispyware

I downloaded microsoft antispyware the other day. it
installed correctly and i ran it and it removed the
spyware on my computer. the following day i tried to
open antispyware and i recieved the
message "GIANTantispyware.exe cannot be found" i
uninstalled the program but when i did that many of the
items "failed to unregister" i have since reinstalled it
but it will not open. has anyone encounted this problem?
if so can someone please let me know what to do to remedy
this problem.. thanks..

Do you have other antispyware or security-related software running on your

yes i have spybot search and destroy on my computer.
but it doesnt run automiatically. i havent run it since
i installed the micorsoft anti spyware.

Spybot Search & destroy shouldn't cause that symptom.

Someone else posted mentioning that a similar set of symptoms appeared to be
cause by another piece of software--security or antivirus related, which was
blocking the installation, and whose prompts about the issue he had
misinterpreted.
