trouble playing dvds

have been playing dvds on powerdvd on new laptop. all goes well until about
halfway through movie and it begins to skip alot - so much it is unwatchable.
my dvds arent scratched and thing is if i turn off the computer for a while
and turn it back on, it seems to be fine after that.

plus its a new computer so the dvd drive shouldnt need cleaning yet either!

how can i fix this?

thanks

i used to have the same problem with my dvd player on my lap top. it
could be as simple as laptop or dvd burner gets too hot. try placing
lap top on solid surface not on your lap. if that dont work, sort out
your fan!! Benny boy
