Trouble installing a font

I am running XP Profesional and keep getting an error
that the font I am trying to install is damaged. The
same font off the same floppy disk installs without
problems on computers that are running XP Home. I need
to have it off those computers and on my New Computer.
Any ideas why I am getting this error and how to fix it?

Format a floppy disk in the XP Pro box.

Insert that floppy disk in the XP Home box and copy the font file to that floppy disk.

Then try that floppy disk in the XP Pro box.
