If it offers to "remove it", then by "remove", it must mean "duplicate" and
"destroy your system"

Well, that's sort of a silly question now, isn't it? If you remove it, of
course you'll get rid of it. What you might not remove are the load entries
in the registry, or any that check for it's presence and duplicate it if
it's missing. Trojans are generally better handled by up to date antivirus
software.
