Trogen or Virus ????? Help

S

Steve

I was wondering if Norton or the other anti virus software is able to detect
the virus (not sure what it is called) that will copies your keyboard input,
then sends it back to who ever, allowing them to get information off you
computer. Such as passwords, account information and what ever else they
are looking for.

Just wondering, because I have heard on the online games BB, people are
saying that something is able to copy the key board input then send it that
information to someone. Thus people are having there games hacked into.

Does anyone have any advise on how to prevent this kind of problem from
happening?

You are referring to what is known as a "key logger". These can be software
that runs silently on a system or it can actually be a piece of hardware
that is attached to the system at some point, usually directly off the
keyboard. You may need to find a specific removal tool so Google for "key
logger removal" and see what you get. Obviously, this is a very serious
matter as these applications or devices can log credit card numbers,
passwords, email and so on.
