trimming and compressing

Christine Fournier

Hi,

I am using PowerPoint 2003 to make a show with some pictures. I trim most of
the pictures to get just the part I need. After I'm done, I compress the
pictures using these settings :
-all pictures of the document
-Web site / screen
-compress the pictures
-delete the trimmed zones
(I'm translating from French here, I hope this make sense to you.)
What happens is that the picture I selected to do this operation,
right-clicking on it to get to the "format picture" box is now back to it's
original size, without the trimming I did. The other pictures of the document
are fine, but the trimming zones are not deleted. (When I use the trim button
and click and drag one corner, I can see the whole picture.)

Thanks for your help.

Christine./

Christine,

What format is the pic. Did you copy and paste from say, a PDF doc?

Try this. Cu the pic. Then Paste Special as png. Now try the compression
tool again.

Did it work?

Sandy

It works Sandy. Thanks a lot !
I wish I would have known that before... It will take me some time to do
that for all the pictures.
