Hello,

I'm a teacher who has got lots of "quiz show" format presentations which use
animation triggers to work. I have discovered that when I email these out
sometimes the triggers don't work on others' machines, rendering the
presentations useless.

I have looked at security levels (my own is still at high) and can't think
of anything else.

Any ideas?

Hannah

Triggers work in PPT 2002 and 2003, but if someone has PPT 2000 or 97, they
won't because (since they hadn't been developed yet).

Thanks for your replies, but these colleagues have PPT 2003, the version the
files were created in.

Any more ideas?

Have them go to Tools--> Options--> Edit tab and see if any of the last
three boxes are checked. These boxes turn off the newer features of PPT
(including triggers).

You might also check where they are trying to click the trigger activator.
If they are trying to click where the words are, sometimes it doesn't work.
Final thing to check: What is the fill on your trigger activators? If it is
a 100% transparent fill, try backing it down to 98% and see if that works
better.

I believe life is meant to be lived. But:
if we live without making a difference, it makes no difference that we lived

The triggers, that is. Not the someone. Unless the someone is very young
indeed.
