Trigger and Add-in Automatically

I have an Add-in called insert date, which when I right click I can select
and a calendar pop-ups with the month we are in. I can do this on any cell.
What I want to do is I have a column of cells that the date needs to go
into, and when I go into any of those cells this add-in opens automatically
and then when a date is selected it closes again. Any help with this.
