TreeView, SelectedNode & AfterSelect

When I set the SelectedNode programmatically, how come the AfteSelect
doesn't fire?

Other controls (i.e. combobox) I believe do fire the SelectedIndexChanged
when you programmatically update the control.

Is this just a quirk of the TreeView?
