Is there a freeware program to minimize programs to the system tray?
Other than the free version of 4T Tray Minimizer, which loses its
settings every time Windows is shutdown.

This can be done with DM2, either by right-clicking on the 'Minimize'
icon of any window, or by using the 'Minimize to tray' option in the
system menu of the window.

PowerMenu

No installation required.

Dexpot does this amongst other things (always on top, multiple desktops,
transparency etc). Also you can make rules for certain programs like: if
x.exe runs set it to always min to tray... or always ontop etc.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried them all and just left the last
one I tried (TrayMin) installed as they all used the same method of
right clicking the minimize button.

Looks like senility is setting in though as I later realised I had this
ability all along in the guise of PowerPro. I've been using that since
it was first released and I *still* don't know all it can do.
