Curiously enough, I just ran into such a program, TrayDevil, in this
group only a couple of days ago. I've been using it since and don't
have any complains, as it performs exactly as it claims.

Of course, it minimizes almost any program, not just Outlook Express

screen; on this laptop with its crap mouse, I will probably find a use

Fidolook (http://fidolook.org/) will add that function to Outlook
Express along with a host of other improvements.
