Traping AttachmentRead event on preview pane Outlook 2000

Could not able to get AttachmentRead event on clicking the
attachment(s) of selected message in a preview pane of Outlook 2000.
Does this event exist in OL2000?

Yes but it's not reliable. It won't fire correctly on some attachment types
and not at all most of the time from the preview pane. It works a little
better from an open item.
