TransponderVX2

I have Microsoft Anti-Spyware and ran a scan, but found
the file Transponder.VX2, it says to remove, but am
afraid because the location of this file is in the system
32 file, which I was told not to mess with. Is this true
or can I safely remove files that are in the system 32
location.

Ad-Aware - which is of course not beta software - has an add-on to remove
the VX2 critter. If you're leery of removing something in the system32
folder I more than trust Ad-Aware to know what it is enough to know it's
safely deletable.

Microsoft Antispyware is correct in this particular case.

There are situations in which it protects you from blocking or removing
objects that are crucial to Windows continued operation, and others in which
it doesn't do that--but this one is definitely something you should allow it
to do.

You may, in fact, need to restart in safe mode and do the scanning and
removal--but it won't hurt to try first in normal operation.
