Transponder.LocalNRD

"Warning, Transponder.LocalNRD Adware is trying to
Install!"

Everytime I logon I get this alert and everytime
I "Remove" it, but it's not really removed. The next
time I or any other user logs on, there it is! I'm
assuming it's embedded in the registry. How do I
permamently remove this adware?

Try running MSAS in Safe Mode.

.
Thank you all for coming to my aid. However ... I ran
the Trendmicro software and it found a bunch of stuff
which it "removed", however, after I restarted and logged
on, the original problem child remained. I booted in
safe mode, ran MSAS and it found the usual (bargainbuddy,
hungryhands, etc) that it always finds and it "removed"
them again. I then ran Ad-Aware SE and it found some more
whic it "removed", I then ran WebRoot and it found a
couple which it "removed". I then ran MSAS again and it
found the same ones it that it just removed in the
beginning!!! What now? Of the 3, MSAS seems the least
effective, but my "Transponder.LocalNRD" friend remains
on my system. I'm reluctant to allow it to remain on my
system because I don't know what it is.

Hello Len,

Dont give up!
Goto: Start/run put in: regedit.exe
then go to the search option put in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bargains
delete this, restart your PC
then goto:
http://nl.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer/housecall/housecall_launch.php
This is the housecall virusscanner of Trend.

Good luck

HijackThis is needed
Get HijackThis from

http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

and let it Scan your system and Save Log. (Save it where
you can find it again.) then send the log to:

showforum=5)

Since HijackThis does not (yet) come with a install
routine, create a folder via Windows Explorer for
HijackThis, then move the file to this folder.
This way any backups created are saved in a legit folder.
In too many instances where the user runs HijackThis from
a temp folder and any backups are lost if that temp folder
is cleaned out.
You should also make sure you are using the latest
version each and every time you run HijackThis, as there
are new detections added all the time.

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change
into a "Save Log" button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log") HijackThis
Tutorial (recommended read)

For Hijack this

Lavasoft also has a HijackThis section at their Forum.
