Transferring my files and settings

I have a Laptop and a PC. Can I use a crossover ethernet lead to do a transfer of my files and settings from the laptop [old unit] to the PC [new unit]? Both units have a NIC.

Yes, you should be able to do this, if you set up the computers' networking
components properly.

Try the File & Settings Transfer Wizard?
