Hello, I've got the following problem, I was unable to
resolve myself.
I've got to computers, one with Win98 running and hd
formated with FAT32, and the other with Win XP and hd
formated with NTFS. I wish to transfer all my data files
(not program setting or anything of that sort) from win98
to Win XP. Some of my files (and quite a bunch are named in
languages other than enlish (french, german, russian). Now,
the problem arises when I try to transfer these files from
one coputer to another via LAN. First of all the names
aren't displayed correctly, and none of the files I can
open. To make things even more weird, some files I cannot
tansfer from one computer to another. None of these files I
can open via network either. (the names on the network
drive are mess as well).
All of the possible encoding settings bosex in WinXP are
checked (cyrrilic ANSI, ISO, etc), but that doesn't solve
the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks in advance,
Alisa
