Transferring Email messages

Hi Everyone... first time posting here.

Anyway, I purchased a new computer and I want to transfer
my inbox, sent items, and deleted items from Outlook on
my old computer to Outlook on my new computer... is there
anyway to do this without emailing the messages to myself?

I tried copying the database dbx. files and transfered
them to my new computer but they are unreadable and I
don't know how to say 'install' them into the new outlook.

I appreciated any and all help and suggestions.
