Shawn:
Open your Works Spreadsheet. Click on file and a menu will drop down. click on Save As. . . A pop-up window will appear, the blue Microsoft banner will say Save As. Next you want to tell the program where you want it saved: i.e. My Documents, MicroSoft Spreadsheets, etc. Just remember where you put the file (Save in). Then the File Name: you can use the one you have now, You may have to change it when it gets to Excel. Then in Save as type: click on the drop down menu and choose the version of Excel you are using, probably Excel 97-2000 [*.xls]. You may want to create a back-up copy and then click on save. Once this is completed you will not be able to access this file from Microsoft Spreadsheet, you can now only open the file with Excel. If it is going between two computers you may have to save it in a zip file and e-mail it or put it to floppy disk. Then open Excel, in the toolbar there will be an open file folder. Click on it and and an Open pop-up window will appear. Just "Look in:" where you put your Works-turned-Excel file. (if it's on a floppy you'll have to go to your floppy drive, if it's e-mail you should have transfered it to desktop or your Ecxel files) On the bottom of the window there is a Files of type menu - open it and click on Excel. Your converted file should be there. Open your file and do the Save as routine to save it to your Excel. Hope this is what you were looking for.
