Transfer Wizard

Ned Heller

Due to a worm, I had to reinstall XP - repair did not work. I installed it
into a new folder. Is there a way to use the File and Settings Transfer
Wizard to move the settings from the corrupted installation to the new?
FYI, I cannot execute any commands or start any programs from the old
installation.
 
Hi,

You must be able to run the old installation in order to use the FASTWIZ.
Instead, all you will be able to do is take ownership of data files
(provided they were not encrypted - for this you would need the encryption
certificate or a recovery agent). See:
