Transfer settings to admin?

I have WinXP Pro. I have my day-to-day login whose
settings/profile/email/bookmarks/etc that I'd like to also have set-up under
the Administrator login. Is it possible to transfer or copy settings from
one login to another, or maybe rename my administrator login to the same name
as what's used in the day-to-day login so that it inherits those settings?
I'm not too concerned with losing settings on the day-to-day login, as long
as I can get it over to Administrator.

Google - 'Files and Settings Transfer Wizard'...
Or you can point the adminstrator profile to another profile directory in
the registry.

Yes you can copy from one profile to another. See this link.
How to Copy a User Profile
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/win_xp_logon.htm

Having a redundant account is fine, but that still doesn't protect you from
loss of data due to a hard drive crash or other system disaster. The best
recourse is to have a good backup solution in place, and set it up to run
automatically on a regular basis. A drive imaging program saving the images
to an external, USB connected drive is a good, low cost way.

Some of the programs that do this are Acronis True Image, Norton Ghost and
Terabyte Unlimited Image for Windows. I currently use Acronis True Image.
It will image by partition and drive, clone by drive, and do individual file
backups. Restores can be done on a file, partition or drive basis. The
latest version works in XP and Vista.

If you point the admin profile to another profile in the directory using the
registry, would you then be able to delete the profile, or would that screw
up the admin one as well?

I tried that link you gave me, but the directions wouldn't work for me. I
could not copy profile settings from one to another, whether I was logged in
as administrator or not. Odd, because I would assume that as an
administrator, I should have those rights, correct? Well, the "Copy to"
button was disabled, as was the "delete". I only haev 1 login other than the
administrator. Could this be why?

Anyways, I would just like the administrator login to have all of the same
settings as my day-to-day login, because I often have to switch between the 2
to access a bookmark that's under one and not the other, or an email is set
up on one and I forget to set it up in the other, etc. If something happens
to my day-to-day login, it would be nice to have a decent starting point,
using the settings that the administrator will hopefully have when I'm
through.

It's just easier to recreate a profile than to recreate the drive, which I
have never had to do -- versus the former.

The general rule should be stuck to:
Log in under the adminstrative level account only when installing something.

IUf you did that - then you wouldn't have to worry much about
synchronization issues - especially of the manner you describe
(bookmark/favorites.)

And in order to use the copy to profile stuff - yes - you should log out and
log in as an administrative user other than either of the other two
accounts - and you should likely log out, reboot and log directly in as that
third user for best results.
