I have upgraded laptop computers from a machine with
Windows 98 to a new laptop with Windows XP. I have
numerous Outlook Express files and addresses that I would
like to transfer to Outlook Express factory installed on
the new machine.

What is the step by step procedure to accomplish this?

Thank you.

For your email messages on the 98 machine do a find for *.dbx ( this be a
directory with all your email folders), for the address book search for
*.wab. Move those files to your new machine and in OE do a File, Import,
Messages and point to the dbx folder, do the same for the address book.
