Transfer old/bad hard drive to new hard drive

I have a typical question...I think...

My computer was hit by a lightning storm and can not boot. So, I bought a
new one and found out that all of the programs were good, but the HD boot
system was out of commision.

Is there a way to transfer all mail, contacts, and calender from the old HD
to the new one?
 
So far, you have not asked an Outlook question. Your third sentence is
completely obtuse. What you failed to clarify was whether you can access
this hard drive at all. Can you?
