I am using Windows XP (SP2 installed afterwards) in a 40GB HDD. I wish to
purchase a new 80GB HDD and want to transfer my all settings, updates,
e-mails and specially installed programme to my new hard disk. I hope this
can be done by Windows XP installer CD through 'Setting Transfer Wizard'. Are
all settings, updates (including SP2), e-mails and installed programmes
transferred to the new HDD? Shall I have to activate the Windows XP further?
The Mother Board manufacturer had supplied 'Norton Ghost' OEM version
alongwith the product. Does 'Norton Ghost' will help more by creating am
image and restoring that afterwards?

Please help me out by giving this information!

Thanks to all.

Have a look on the home page of your hard disk manufacturer.
It most likely has a free cloning tool. And no, you won't need
to re-activate Windows.
