Traditional & Simplified Chinese Input

When I got my new pc, the dealer set it up so I can use Chinese(PRC) with the
Pinyin input method to input both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. That is
I can toggle between the two (Pinyin only). I recently reinstalled the whole
system. I already know and did added the asian language. Then I already set
it to Chinese(PRC) with the Pinyin Keyboard. But I can only type Simplified
Chinese. How can I set it back to type Traditional Chinese?? Please don't
tell me to use Chinese (Taiwan) because that has no Pinyin input. I already
ask the dealer but they forget how to set this. Please HELP!!! Thanks.

Hi Agent88,

I'm also experiencing the same problem. I don't think Microsoft provides a
lot of help on these sort of issues. I've spent hours going through the
help/support page and can't find anything. Is it possible to contact your
dealer to find out?

Meanwhile I will keep my eyes open for any possible solutions.

Ok I found out the solution...

You go to the place where you can add input languages and then add, set the
input language to Chinese (Taiwan), set Keyboard layout/IME to Microsoft New
Phonetic IME 2002a and click OK.

Now click Properties, go to Keyboard Mapping tab and select HanYu Pinyin.
Click OK.

Finally click Apply and OK. Now in your language bar you should have Chinese
(Taiwan). Open up Microsoft Word for example, and select Chinese (Taiwan) as
your input method and you should be able to see traditional Chinese
characters on your screen.

Enjoy!

I am setting up Chinese (HK SAR) but the properties box does not show up. It
did show up for Chinese (Taiwan) and I was able to change as you said but it
doesn't work for Chinese (HK SAR); the option is greyed-out.
