Tracks Eraser Does Not Appear to Work

I have downloaded the Anti-Spyware software recently.
Since I have downloaded the software and have installed it
I have been looking through some of the available settings
and options. I have been looking at the Tracks Eraser in
particular. I have noticed that it does not always work
and only removes some of the items that it states it will
remove. For example the recent commands types at the Run
prompt are not removed. Also I noticed that the IE
Internet History is not always removed completely. Are IE
settings overwritten by the settings in the Anti-Spyware
software? Has anyone else seen these issues?

I have several issues that include all of those you raise
below. I find no evidence that any tracks are erased. My
entire cache seems to still be intact. All of my recent
flies lists are still intact. All of my search history is
still intact. All of my URL history is still intact.

Further, I can use AdAware SE personal immediately after a
full system deep scan by MS AntiSpyware and get a whole
load of data miner cookies identified. I'm beginning to
think the initial spyware found when I installed the MS
beta was a plant to make me think the product might
actually work.

I agree that many tracks aren't erased - here's what I
found.

It is already well known that IE Cache cannot be
completely erased if IE (or Maxthon eg) is open because of
sharing violations. Windows Washer offers the option of
closing IE before washing to overcome this. MS Antispyware
product just skips (presumably it calls the Internet
options to the task - it produces the same sort of results
as Internet options). It should warn that sharing
violations will limit what is erased otherwise users will
lose confidence.

It clears all cookies if IE is already closed.

It does NOT clear all History even if IE is closed.

It does NOT clear temp files (not even where there is no
sharing violation) in user's current Temp path (specified
bin TMP and TEMP environment variables).

Acrobat 7.0 tracks erasure is still to be implemented
(this is a beta after all).

Doesn't offer erasure of Java cache in Temp path and %
APPDATA%\Sun\Java\Development\cache\java\* I don't know
whether that is possible. My Antivirus just
found "ByteVerify!exploit" there and said it couldn't
repair it I had to use Java Console to clewar the cache.

I also have to do manual delets in my archive - so it
would be handy to add directories to the erase tracks list
to purge.

Apart from cookies it does better than my AdAware SE Pro
1.05 every time.
