Not to your hardware, but software that may monitor certain Net activity.
Sometimes this is done simply to serve you with sites of interest, or
report on how the vendor's product is used. I.E.: it may be covert, but
it isn't necessarily bad.

There tools should reveal whether such software is resident, and give you
the option to remove it. Be aware that Cookies can be helpful, though.
You may not want to remove them.
