Tracking Changes Not Showing Up

B

Bonnie L. Green

We are having a little difficulty using the track changes
in Word 2002. On my machine when I turn the track
changes on, it double underlines my additions and strikes
thru my deletions. On my co-workers machine, it will
double underline the additions, but will not show the
strike thrus. We have searched everywhere for
information on what we need to do to get my co-worker's
tracking changes to work like mine. It will double
underline the additions, but when we delete a word, it
just changes the color. When printed, it shows the
double underline and the deletion (which is just a
changed color, not strike thru) is just printed in a
lighter print. Does anyone have any suggestions? We
have been struggling with this problem for about 3 weeks
now. We were using WordPerfect 9 before we started using
Word 2002. Maybe something did not get installed when we
installed our Word 2002 to my co-worker's machine. There
are about 6 of us using Word 2002, and out of the 6 of
us, only the above-mentioned co-worker is having
problems. The rest of us (5) are using tracked changes
and it works as Microsoft planned for it to work. If
this is unclear, please e-mail me at
(e-mail address removed). Thanks for any help!

Do you have balloons disabled on all the machines?
