Track Revisions

Word 2003-

Is there a way to show different sets of revision changes in a document.
This means that each track change for Revision 1 would show that is was
somehow marked differently than the next revision. Right now, we have track
changes on and we are manually placing an anchored box next to the revision
bar with a 1 or 2 or 3, etc. for the revision number.

Each time you're about to start a new round of revisions, change the user name
in Tools > Options > User Information. (To make things simple, append the
revision number to your name, increasing it by 1 each time.)

In Tools > Options > Track Changes, you can set the color for insertions and
deletions to "By author" so each set of revisions will be in a different color
(and no, there's no way to force Word to use specific colors). Even if you use a
single color, though, the mouseover tips will show the revision number as part
of the reviewer name.

Thanks Jay. This would work except I have two issues:

1. Multiple author's will be working on the same revision.
2. I need the revision number to show up next to the revision bar when we
print it.

Thanks again.
