Track Revisions in Legal Document?

I have a document that I need to track "revisions" of in the endnotes. For
example, if I add a section or change a section, I need to reflect the
changes in the endnotes and save it as a new "revision" of the document for
compliance purposes.

I understand track changes, but that is something different and the document
needs to be clean other than the changes listed at the end. Is there a way to
do this in Word?
