Track Changes

I am making changes to a document using track changes. I want to keep the
change bar in the border, but disable the strikethrough and balloons. Using
Word 2003

Tools | Options | Track Changes and choose the appropriate settings (Hidden
for deletions and None for additions).

Can you tell me if this will work with Word 2002 as we are using that version
instead of 2003. I didn't realize the difference in the two versions and
they are not the same. I did try using the Tools, Options, Track Changes,
but Hidden for Deletions and None for Additions isn't there. Thanks for the
help

Unfortunately, when the new Track Changes format (balloons) was introduced
in Word 2002, no provision was made for formatting deletions (an unfortunate
omission that was rectified in Word 2003). You can do it by editing the
Registry or with a macro, IIRC. See
