Track Changes Amendments

Hello

Can anyone confirm whether it is possible for one person to edit a Word
document with Track Changes and distinguish these changes by color to
represent each individual who has provided them OR does each person have to
edit the document themselves to enable this? I have a paper document which
needs to be created in Word with comments on it from various staff.

Thanks in advance, Mark

The user name that appears in a tracked change is determined by the value in
the "Name" field in Tools > Options > User Information tab at the time when
the change is made.

You can make the changes on behalf of other users if you temporarily change
the "Name" value in the User Information tab. If you set the "Color" options
in Tools > Options > Track Changes tab to "By author", the changes made by
each of these "users" will then show the user name in question and will
appear with a separate color.

Hello Lene

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide an explanation and
confirming this is possible!
