Trace a dependency (EWF)

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was any way that I could trace back a dependency. I have an image that
keeps wanting me to add the "Enhanced Write Filter" component, but I will be using "NT Loader". I
would like to know whey component(s) has(have) the dependency on the "Enhanced Write Filter"
component so that I can disable it.

Hi Jason,

If I follow your question correctly...

The name of the "requesting" component who depends on the "Enhanced Write
Filter" should be shown in the Tasks pane of Target Designer. So you can
then go into your configuration, remove that component, and check
dependencies again to see who brought that one in and repeat until your
satisfied.

If your asking how to turn off dependency auto resolve then...

Go to Tools > Options > Dependency Check and uncheck "Auto-resolve
dependencies".
