touchpad fails

For a couple of days now I'm having problems with my touchpad. I can use it
to move the cursor but I can't click. I think this is related to a window
that opens every time I boot up which says:
Retrieval of "THotkey" failed
Occurred part - TouchED.exe - THotkeyFindTimeProc0
Failed function - FindWindow0
Error code - 0x00031402, 0x00000002

Can anybody solve this problem please,
