Totals change after sorting!!

i have a large table with about 56000 rows. whenever i
change the sort order the totals change!! anybody has a
solution or and explanation ??? thanks

you may provide siome more details:
- range of your data
- where are the total formulas located
- exact formulas

The formaulas are simple sum formula "=SUM(V2:V56894)"
located in the cell "V56895"
as i mentioned the data is numerical. i tried different
formating and manuoulation but nothing worked. i always
get new totals depending on the way i sort it...

Hi
no wonder if you sort column V that also your sum gets sorted. One way:
Only select your range V2:V56894 before you sort or place your SUM
formula in a separate sheet/column

=SUM(V$2:V$56894)
