dear all
how i can total the no. of hours when Emp ID & date is matching with below
row, till the row value is change either in date or Emp.No which coming
first.

I would be inclined to use a pivot table for that.

Data | Pivot Table or Pivot Chart...
Follow the wizard.

Drop the Employee # and Date into the left column with the hours in the data
section. You end up with this...
