Toshiba DP3580 TCP/IP Pinting from Win2K stops intermittently

I'm having this ongoing problem with a Toshiba DP3580-PCL5e
printer/copier.
One user complains the most that she will be able to print sometimes,
and then other times Windows says the printer is unavailable.
Rebooting may or may not fix it and it seems to reoccurr often with
this one user. The other users have XP and haven't complained.

It has the built-in NIC and Here's its settings:
Emulation: Auto
IP: 192.168.1.27
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.251 (our DHCP/router)

Here are the driver settings:
Standard TCP/IP Port: 192.168.1.27
Protocol: LPR
LPR Settings: PORT1
SNMP Status is Enabled, community name: public, SNMP Device Index: 1

Now, there is a debate about the software drivers. The local Toshiba
guy told us that we should use the drivers on the disc he gave us, but
they are much older than the one Toshiba has on their website.
Its been so long now, I can't remember which version drivers this
computer is using, and I'm not sure where exactly to check.

I'm not sure what else to check. In the event log I can see that
there's warning/info messages about purging the printer, it being
paused and resumed. Don't know if those mean anything.

If anybody has any good ideas, let me know. This is a small network;
6 users, no domain server, Netware 6 File server, 3com unmanaged
10/100/1000 switch, two print servers with 4 printers, and two direct
TCP/IP printers (which this Toshiba DP3580 is one).

Also, another weird thing is that everyday the first time ANYBODY
prints to it, the first page is always garbage. All subsequent pages
after that first one are fine. Anybody seen that one?
