Can I turn off the Tooltips that appear when browsing the Folder list of
Outlook 2007

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

With the 'Folder List' as the left pane then when the cursor is over a
folder a text box opens below and to the right of the cursor (Tooltip?) which
obscures the folders below. In the text box is the name of the folder the
cursor is over so it gives no useful information at all.
I'd like to be able to turn that 'feature' off in the Folder List.

Thanks
Pete

It is either on for everything or off for everything. If you want to turn off tooltips (Screen tips) for everything, then use F1 help, type in Screen Tips and follow the directions for your version of Office.

make the pane wider - they only show when the folder name and message count
is too long to display completely. You shouldn't have them when the name
and folder count are fully visible.
