Tools/Options/General Tab

I am using Word 2003. When I go to Tools->Options->General Tab, and uncheck
Help for WordPerfect for Users and Navagiation Keys for WP Users and close
Option, then, go back into Tools->Options->General Tab the check mark boxes
are checked. What is the problem? Why is not updating my settings?

Probably some add-in is preventing your changes from being saved. The
most common one is the Adobe Acrobat 7 add-in. See

I have no global templates and add-in currently loaded. It only lists my
file types and locations. What else can I do?

Try deleting the Word data key as described in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm ,
except that the Word 2003 data key will be at
\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data .
