TOOLS disappearing from menu in Word 2003

Does anyone know why "tools" would disappear from the menu in Word
2003. I can see File, Edit, etc., but the entire Tools menu is gone. I
searched the forum and found a lot of information about tool bars, but
couldn't locate anything about the Tools menu. Any suggestions would be
helpful. Thanks.
 
Try the Menu View / Toolbars / Customize ... then select Menu Bar and hit
the Reset button. Accept the default Normal.dot.

BTW, you posted in the wrong newsgroup. This newgroup is for Microsoft
Access, a database application. There are numerous newsgroups dedicated to
Word questions.
