I used to have the quick lauch toolbar on my taskbar but now it is gone.
When I try to recreate it I get an error box that pops up saying " Cannot
create toolbar". I get the same error if I try to create any custom toolbars
and some of the other predefined toolbars. The only predefined toolbars that
work are the address and links toolbars. Anybody got any ideas???

Hi RMP,

Click Start/Run and type IE4UINIT.EXE
Then, type REGSVR32 /i SHELL32

Reboot and try to enable the Quick Launch bar.

Additionally, if the Quick Launch settings are not saved, try this:

Open Registry Editor and navigate to:

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
In the right-pane, change the value of Userinit to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,"

(Type the above value exactly as given, including the comma - exclude the quotes)
