Tool to reset/reinitialize USB devices without unplugging them?

Michael Moser

I have the case that some of my USB devices regularly fall dead (the
powerconnector in my USB hub is a bit loose and so when I happen to rock
the table a bit occasionally USB devices attached to it "disappear"). So
I have to unplug and replug the USB hub occasionally to make a device
reappear before I want to use it.

Is there a tool to reset the USB or some specific device via SW?

The only way you're going to correct your problem
is to acquire a new USB hub that's designed with a secure
and solid power connection.
