You can install the support tools found on the Windows
2000 server CD-ROM and then run DCdiag and NetDiag with
the /fix switch and it will help with some errors but they
are mainly a tool to identify errors. Unlike Novell's
DSrepair Microsoft doesn't seem to have a Directory
Service repair utility. Or they aren't making it well
known. I would be interested to here if there is something
for AD Schema repair.
You can also do a Defrag on the AD database. You must shut
down the Domain Controller. NTDSutil has a defrag utility
you can use. I have found that it doesn't do much in the
repair side.
