Tool Tab for Msconfig

I have a Dell Dimension 8300 with Windows XP Home Edition. I am trying to
download KB906569 which is a program for installing a Tools Tab in MSconfig,
but I get an error message: “KB906569 Setup Error. Failed to migrate
dependent packages.†Anyone have any idea on how to overcome this situation?

Hi GusGus,

Didn't have any problems installing it on a Dell Dimension 8200 Windows XP
Home with IE6.

I have read that some folks with IE7 Beta installed had the problem you
describe with installing KB906569. It was resolved by rolling back to IE6
and then installing the MSConfig Tool tab and then reinstalling IE7 Beta.

If you've got IE7 beta or RC1 installed you might give it a try.

Had no trouble. Note: requires SP2.
