every time i start my pc i get at the bottom of my
desktop "search assistant, language bar and quick start
up". how can i stop this happening? i have scanned my pc
wiv nortons and spybot search and destroy.

Rightclick the open area on taskbar, go up to Toolbars and uncheck Quick Launch.
