If you mean the icons on the start menu, right click on the toolbar and
click Properties. Choose Show Small Icons on Start Menu. If you mean in
Windows Explorer then go to View, Small Icons.
Or right click on your Desktop, go to Properties, Click on Effects and
untick Use Large Icons.
If this isn't the effect you want, maybe your screen resolution has become
larger (one older bit of software I installed did that to mine. If it's
that go back to the Desktop Properties, Settings, and slide the arrow under
Screen Area up a notch. If you can't see the resulting picture (older
Monitor or Graphics Card) it will automatically change back to its former
setting after about 15 seconds. Mine is 1024 by 768
For the Task bar, you should be able to just to click on a empty space and
drag it back down but it is a slippery little beggar, I remember chasing
mine around the desktop for a number of fun-filled moments.
